Lamma Island Dredging Kicks Off

With immediate effect and for a period of approximately four weeks, dredging operations will be carried out off West Coast of Lamma Island, announced Hong Kong Marine Department.

The works will be carried out by a flotilla of vessels including one grab dredger, three hopper barges, two tug boats and one survey boat.

The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 50 meters around the grab dredger will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the dredger.
