Ipswich Hosts Regional Meeting on Dredging

A regional meeting on dredging issues will be held Friday, June 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the selectmen’s meeting room in Ipswich Town Hall, announced the Daily News of Newburyport.

This meeting, being organized under the auspices of state Senator Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester, will include presentations on problem areas and potential dredging projects in this oceanfront sector.

According to the local officials, the management of waterways and beach nourishment have become major challenges for communities from Cape Ann to New Hampshire.

Officials from the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission and the University of New Hampshire will provide updates on these issues.
