The Environment Agency is proposing to carry out improvement works to the channel feeding into the River Dever in Sutton Scotney.

It will take approximately two weeks to complete the works that are to take place sometime between mid September and end of Autumn 2015. The stretch concerned is between the downstream end of the culvert under the A30 (which is next to the Texaco garage roundabout) and Sutton Springs Fish Farm.

The proposed improvement works will involve removing silt from the channel with an excavator and taking down two fallen trees which are lying across the channel.

This work is to improve the flow of water from Sutton Scotney into the River Dever which will help to reduce the risk of flooding to properties upstream.
