Meeting on Cherry Grove Dredging Next Week

The North Myrtle Beach City’s dredging project consultants have reviewed and categorized the written objections to assessments filed with the City Manager by property owners.

The consultants will meet with City staff on September 17 (not a public meeting) to discuss the objections.

These objections will be reviewed by City Council at a later date not yet established.

The City is aiming toward a formal determination by City Council on the objections in mid to late November 2015.

According to the current proposal, property owners will be charged each year for an estimated 10 years to pay for the dredging project estimated to cost approximately $13 million.
