Cromer Coastal Scheme Begins

The final phase of the £8m ‘Cromer Coast Protection’ scheme has officially started and will last until March 2016.

The scheme has been designed not only to maintain the existing level of defense, but also to withstand many years of predicted sea level rise.

This final stage will include work at the west end, the parapet walls including around the Pier forecourt, underneath the Pier and promenade surfacing.

The coast protection scheme will reduce the impact of the sea along the Cromer frontage as well as helping to maintain a stable beach in front of the seawalls for future years.
