Three Weeks to WEDA Eastern Chapter

In three weeks historic Philadelphia will play host to one of the most strategic and mission-critical dredging events of the fall season, the WEDA Eastern Chapter Annual Meeting.

Just steps from City Hall and blocks from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, dredging contractors, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and experts in the fields of safety, navigation, port development, international trade and infrastructure integration, alternative financing, environmental restoration, hydrographic surveying, and storm damage reduction and coastal management will gather to network, share timely project-related information, best practices and lessons-learned, discuss trends in the market, and to collaborate on key issues that have a direct impact on your business.

The meeting comes as an opportunity for the participants to get up to speed on the future of the Corps’ dredging program, the beach program, the benefits of dredging for Delaware River regional ports, the impacts of the Panama and Suez Canal expansions on East Coast and Caribbean-basin ports, how normalization of U.S. relations with Cuba may translate into port infrastructure development and dredging opportunities for U.S. firms, how to minimize the safety risks of unexploded ordnance on beaches, and many other.

The event will be held at the Le Meridien Philadelphia from October 27th-29th, 2015.
