MAHURY Naming Ceremony Next Week

The naming ceremony of the 1.840 m³ twin screw trailing suction hopper dredger “MAHURY” will take place at MTG Dolphin Shipyard in Varna, Bulgaria, on October 29, 2015.

The new dredger is Dutch Dredging’s fourth IHC-built vessel, after the ALBATROS, LESSE and AMAZONE.

The vessel is equipped with the newest electronic system for positioning, sounding and execution of dredging work.

The vessel will be capable of dredging with one trailing suction pipe up to depths of 30 meters, delivering the spoil either into the hopper, or directly overboard.

Main characteristics:

  • Length: 75 m;
  • Breadth: 13,40 m;
  • Draft: 4,10 m;
  • Hopper capacity: 1,840 m3.

Officials from Dutch Dredging BV and Royal IHC, together with the Dutch Ambassador and other municipality officials, will attend the ceremony.
