Another Milestone for HPT

Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) held an event on Wednesday, 21 October, to mark the handling of 15 million twenty foot equivalent unit (TEU) of containers since the commencement of operations in 2002.

HPT is Thailand’s largest container terminal operator and is currently managing and operating Terminals A2, A3, C1 and C2 at Laemchabang Port with 15 quay cranes and 39 container yard cranes.

The event, which was held at HPT’s Terminal C1C2 in Laemchabang Port, was attended by port officials, customers and other business partners who witnessed the loading of the 15 millionth TEU container onto OOCL’s vessel M.V. ARICA.

Among the guests attending the event was the Chairman, Board of Commissioners of the Port Authority of Thailand, Admiral Aplwat Srivardhana.
