The City of Dunedin, Florida, has just announced that the $4.6 million beach renourishment work on Honeymoon Island is now completed.

During this 14-month coastal reconstruction scheme, around 165,000 cubic yards of new sand was pumped onto the beach.

The project was funded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection by way of the state Legislature, which funnels revenue from document stamp sales into renourishment.
