Port Qasim Dredging Tender Released

Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has just announced tender for the maintenance dredging of the port’s approach channel.

The project calls for dredging of approximately 3 million cubic meters through deployment of trailing suction hopper dredger(s) or cutter suction dredger.

At least one TSHD should be of minimum 9000 m³ hopper capacity.

The channel is dredged to allow safe navigation of 75,000 DWT ships in fair weather and 50,000 DWT ships in all weather.

According to the tender specifications, the whole of the works are to be completed by May 15th 2016.

The deadline for submitting bids is January 7th 2016.
