Delaware Wetlands Conference in Wilmington

The 7th Delaware Wetlands Conference will take place this week, on February 3-4, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, DE.

More than 300 wetland experts and enthusiasts from the tri-state area will gather in Wilmington at the Delaware Wetlands Conference to share the latest in wetland research, innovations to outreach and education and conservation programs in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Wetlands play a vital role in our everyday lives, protecting our communities from flooding and erosion and boosting our economy through tourism and the seafood industry. It is important that we continue to foster an atmosphere that supports the exploration and dissemination of wetlands science, and this conference has a history of doing just that,” the organizers stated.

The conference has seen attendance rates grow consistently over the years and has now been expanded to two days.

This biennial conference attracts scientists, planners, state, county and federal representatives, educators, community leaders, natural resource managers and more.
