Production and repair base of the Taganrog Department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azov Basin Branch on March 29, 2016 finished the repairs of bucket ladder dredger Kuban-2.

Planned internavigational repairs of the vessel were carried out since 18 January of this year. In less than three months, the dredger was fully prepared for summer navigation.

According to the FSUE “Rosmorport” release, the rudder propeller unit, process equipment and generators of the dredger have been repaired. The hull has also been repaired and repainted. At the final stage of the repairs the bucket chain was assembled and installed.

Following the repairs, the dredger was moored in the seaport of Taganrog where the vessel was presented to the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and to the port authorities.

On April 1st 2016, Kuban-2 started dredging of the approaches to the seaports of Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don.
