Partrac Wins AMEP Monitoring Support Contract

Partrac has announced the award of a marine monitoring support services contract for the ABLE Marine Energy Park (AMEP).

AMEP is a fully consented infrastructure project in the Humber estuary designed to offer port facilities for the renewable energy sector.

The contract comprises the supply, deployment, and maintenance of monitoring equipment, and the delivery of water quality data through baseline, construction and post-construction phases of the development.

Partrac will transmit water quality data (turbidity, dissolved oxygen and temperature) in real time to a secure operational project website.

Kevin Black, Technical Director at Partrac, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the water quality monitoring contract for ABLE; this extends and builds upon our experience of delivering compliance dredge monitoring services across several major domestic infrastructure projects, including London Gateway and Liverpool2 Deep Water Terminal port developments.”

AMEP is being developed by ABLE (UK). It will represent a £450 million investment by ABLE and will cover an area of 900 acres, featuring 1300 m of new deep-water quays.
