The International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) held a five-day Dredging Seminar in Panama last week (April 11-15).
During the first two days of the seminar, 32 participants from 13 countries visited the Boskalis’ Punta Pacifica land reclamation project and a rock loading facility in Vacamonte.
The third day included the presentations on topics such as site investigation, behavior of soils, production, tender and hydraulic fills.
On the last day of the seminar, a presentation on the Panama Canal Expansion Program was given to the participants.
The presenter was Mr. Raúl Figueroa from the Dredging Division of the Autoridad del Canal de Panamá.
