Tooradin Dredging Project About to Begin

Maintenance dredging works at Tooradin Boat Ramp are scheduled to begin tomorrow, according to the Parks Victoria’s latest Notice to Mariners.

Dredging operations will be carried out by a cutter suction dredger and the dredged material will be deposited south east of the boat ramp.

The boat ramp will be closed to the public on week days whilst dredging works occur, the Parks Victoria stated.

On-water plant, equipment or potential hazards to navigation will be marked with flashing lights as per IALA standards.

The Parks Victoria advises mariners to navigate within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the works.

The completion of the Tooradin maintenance dredging scheme is set for August 5, weather permitting.
