Illwaco Dredging Scheme Moves Ahead, J.E. McAmis Says

J.E. McAmis, a California based heavy-civil, marine and environmental contractor, has just released an update on its Illwaco dredging scheme.

The project is moving forward and the company plans to remove more than 120,000 cubic yards of material from the areas near USCG Station Cape Disappointment at Illwaco, Washington.

Dredging work is being conducted with the clamshell dredge Heidi-Renee, J.E. McAmis said in its announcement.

Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment, situated at the mouth of the Columbia River, is the largest Coast Guard search and rescue station on the Northwest Coast.

According to the company, this cleanup program will be completed in early September.
