Ocean City Schedules Two Meetings on Dredging

The Ocean City officials and ACT Engineers, a firm hired by the city to tackle the severely silted lagoons with long-term dredging strategies, will host two meetings on Saturday, August 20, for residents in areas affected by Ocean City’s 2016 back bay dredging program.

This year’s program includes Snug Harbor (between Eighth Street and Revere Place), Glen Cove (between 10th Street and Walton Place) and the entrance area of South Harbor (between Spruce Road and Tennessee Avenue).

The first meeting will be held 11:30 a.m. in the Senior Center at the Ocean City Community Center to discuss the next dredging project covering Snug Harbor, Glen Cove and the entrance area of South Harbor.

The second meeting will be held for the residents of the Nor’Easter Residential Marina community at Seventh Street and Pleasure Avenue at 1 p.m., also at the Senior Center.
