WEDA Central America Chapter Event Set for Next Week

The WEDA Central America Chapter (formerly known as the Panama Chapter) will hold its 2016 Annual Meeting on September 13-15 at the Hilton Downtown in Panama City, Panama.

The event , held in partnership with the Panama Canal Authority, Panama Ports Company and the Organization of American States, will serve as a premiere forum where dredging contractors and manufacturers from across the globe will gather to network and share timely project-related information and best practices.

The future of Central America’s dredging and port infrastructure development programs, the Panama Canal Expansion, future dredging and port development plans in Panama and land reclamation activities will also be discussed at the event.

The meeting will kickoff at approximately 1 pm on Tuesday, September 13, and conclude with a networking reception starting at 5 pm.

On Wednesday, September 14, sessions will be held from 9 am until adjournment at 5 pm.

A complete coast-to-coast tour of the Panama Canal and a closing reception are set for Thursday, September 15.
