USACE to Host WERP Virtual Meeting

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will host a Western Everglades Restoration Project Delivery Team Meeting on Friday, September 16.

The Corps will host this virtual meeting in order to discuss and seek input on the Western Everglades Restoration Project (WERP).

Interested individuals, groups and agencies are encouraged to attend the meeting to see progress and updates since the initial August 2016 meeting and to provide comments.

The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Western Everglades Restoration project, a component of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) being developed in partnership with the South Florida Water Management District, is a new planning effort aimed at improving the quality, quantity, timing and distribution of water needed to restore and reconnect the western Everglades ecosystem.
