PIANC Site Visit to Greenport Hull Development Project

Associated British Ports, Hull will be host to a PIANC UK visit to the Greenport Hull Development Project. 

The tour – set for Monday, September 26th 2016 – is starting at 2pm at ABP/Siemens’ Site Office, Alexandra Dock, Hull.

Delegates will have the opportunity to visit the site and hear a presentation about the project from ABP’s Project Manager, Dave Herrod.

The Green Port Hull development is a £310 million joint investment between Associated British Ports (ABP) and Siemens to create a landmark facility to service the offshore wind turbine industry.

The development includes a new berth frontage for wind installation vessels, a blade manufacturing facility as well as an assembly, service and distribution facility for wind turbine components.

Construction also includes dredging a new berth pocket, completion of earthworks and surfacing, building internal access roads and service networks, construction of a new Roll-on / Roll-off ramp and demolition of some existing buildings.
