Lyon Hosts FLOODrisk 2016 Conference

The 3rd European Conference on Flood Risk Management will take place in Lyon, France, from 17-20 October 2016.

Researchers, policy makers and practitioners from across the world will share experience and progress made in flood risk research, policy and management practice.

Royal HaskoningDHV is participating in the conference program with several presentations.

Maarten Schoemaker will present “The use of equivalent annual cost for cost-benefit analyses in flood risk reduction strategies” on 18 October 14:00-15.30.

The poster presentation of Fola Ogunyoye named “A high level feasibility tool for appraising the feasibility of Retrofitting SuDS” will take place on 19 October, 13.15-14:00.

On 20 October from 09:00-10:30 Marius Sokolewicz will present “Flood protection as a key-component of the environmental restoration of Canal del Dique, Colombia”.

The FLOODrisk 2016 will include contributions from a variety of national, European and international flood related initiatives as well as wider international practice. In particular, science policy interfacing, the applicability of flood risk research into practice, communication and international networking will be considered.
