All Set for CEDA Dredging Technology Webinar

The next event in the CEDA webinar series on dredging equipment and technology will be a practitioner-level presentation on ‘Production estimation based on specific energy in sand, clay and rock’ and will take place today, from 14:00-15:00 hrs (CEST).

The practitioner-level webinars are for professionals working in the field of dredging, or associated with it, with no formal education/training in dredging, and/or with limited experience with dredging equipment and technology.

They aim to provide a more in-depth knowledge of the subject, than the Foundation level webinars, and will be useful for those working on projects involving dredging at some level.

The third event, on production estimation based on specific energy in sand, clay and rock, will be presented by internationally renowned expert in the field, Dr. ir. Sape Miedema, Associate Professor of Dredging Engineering, the Delft University of Technology.

This webinar will be the third in what’s proving to be a popular series for those in the industry and will cover:

  • The equipment used in cutting processes;
  • What is specific energy;
  • How to determine specific energy, the required cutting power, and the cutting production if the cutting power is given;
  • Limitations;
  • How it relates to the hydraulic transport process.

As part of the webinar, delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions, via text during the webinar and verbally afterwards.
