Hopper Dredger Kadosh Starts Sea Trials

Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard–part of United Shipbuilding Corporation–has started sea trails for the third 1000m³ trailing suction hopper dredger Kadosh, which is being built for FSUE Rosmorport.

The Kadosh, launched on October 5th, left for sea trials on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

Upon completion of the trials, the TSHD will be handed over to the Tuapse Department of Rosmorport’s Azov-Black Sea Branch.

The Kadosh is the last ship in a series of three TSHDs built for the FSUE Rosmorport under the contract signed between the two companies in April 2014.

The TSHD 1000 series were designed by Damen Shipyards Gorinchem (Netherlands) with the working design documentation provided by Volga-Caspian Design Bureau (MNP Group, Russia).

Vessel particulars: LOA – 62,6 m; Beam – 14 m; Draft – 4,25 m: Hopper capacity – 1000 m³; Deadweight – 1685 tonnes; Trailing pipe diameter 500 mm; Total installed power 3225 kW.
