Ghent Dredging Wins Nederschelde Gig

Ghent Dredging, a Belgium based marine construction company, has won a contract to re-open the Nederschelde waterway between Wijdenaard Bridge and New Bridge.

This development project will include the stabilization and restoration of the existing quay walls and  reconstruction of the Bisdomkaai, Bisdomplein and Reep areas.

A significant amount of dredging works, paving operations, road works and other ancillary activities will also be involved in the project.

The value of this Nederschelde waterway development program is EUR 3.4 million.

The contract was awarded on October 27, 2016.
