Comments Invited on Arcadia Flood Study

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, and the city of Arcadia, Wisconsin, will host a community meeting to solicit public input on the scope of its Arcadia flood risk management feasibility study.

The meeting will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Arcadia High School auditorium.

The intent of the feasibility study is to identify and evaluate flood risk management alternatives for the city of Arcadia.

This community meeting is the first step in the feasibility study process, which is to gather information that should be considered when devising and evaluating alternative plans.

Public input will help the Corps and city identify the problems, challenges, opportunities, issues, objectives and constraints surrounding managing flood risk in Arcadia.

The Corps will develop an environmental assessment as part of the feasibility study, as required by the National Environmental Policy Act, or NEPA.
