DHI VIDEO on Measurement of Suspended Sediment

DHI Group, an independent research and consultancy organization, has just released their latest DHI Tech Talk video, named ‘Measurement of Suspended Sediment’.

Solid particles transported in the water are referred to as suspended sediments.

A high level of suspended sediments may lead to serious effects such as coral bleaching (corals turning completely white due to stress) and even loss of marine habitats, according to DHI.

“This is why it is important for us to understand how suspended sediments behave in order to protect the marine environment,” DHI said.

In this episode of Tech Talk, coastal engineer Zhao Bing explains how suspended sediments may affect the environment and what kinds of technology are best for monitoring their behavior.
