The Western Dredging Association yesterday announced that it is accepting applications for the 2017 WEDA Environmental Excellence Awards.
These awards will be presented on June 28, 2017, during the WEDA Dredging Summit and Exposition in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The objective of the awards is to recognize projects for their outstanding contribution to meeting the goals of WEDA, which include: “ Promote communication and understanding of environmental issues and stimulate new solutions associated with dredging and placement of dredged materials such that dredging projects, including navigation and environmental, are accomplished in an efficient manner while meeting environmental goals. ”
At the WEDA event, three Environmental Excellence Awards will be given, one for each of the following categories:
