Docks of the Bay Wraps Up Jackson Creek Dredging

Docks of the Bay, a marine construction company from Irvington, VA, has successfully completed the Jackson Creek dredging project in Deltaville, VA, according to the Southside Sentinel.

Middlesex County Administrator, Matt Walker, informed the Middlesex  Board of Supervisors earlier this week that the Jackson Creek dredging project is now wrapped up and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers post-dredge survey showed it was an ‘outstanding’ job.

In conjunction with Middlesex County and Docks of the Bay, Deltaville Boatyard served as the base of operations for the project, which lasted approximately 45 days and resulted in the depth of the channel being minus 9 feet at mean low water, added Deltaville Boatyard owner, Keith Ruse.

The latest dredging work, worth $135.000, marked the second phase of the Jackson Creek dredge project. The first phase was done in 2013 at a cost of $102.570.
