Balfour Beatty Wins Twenty CCS Awards This Year

Balfour Beatty has scooped twenty Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) awards this year with five Gold, seven Silver and eight Bronze awards.

These annual, national awards recognize companies’ efforts to raise standards in the consideration for the communities in which they work and to improve the performance and overall perception of the industry.

Balfour Beatty’s awards, among others, included the Rossall Flood Defense project in Lancashire, part of the largest coastal improvement scheme in the country.

Bekir Andrews, Balfour Beatty’s Group Sustainability Manager, said: “The Considerate Constructors Scheme awards recognize the important work our project teams do to deliver social benefit to the communities we serve. To win twenty awards is a real testament to our commitment to improving the image of construction.”

Andrews added that the company will continue this momentum throughout 2017 hoping to see these figures rise in time for the awards ceremony next year.
