Royal HaskoningDHV Takes Part at Solent Forum

Caroline Price, Senior Marine Consultant for Industry & Buildings at Royal HaskoningDHV will share her views on the topic of ‘Resilient Cities – Opportunities for the Solent’ at the Solent Forum’s 25th anniversary conference taking place next week.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Caroline said: “We know that the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth both have very different characteristics, and as such, very different drivers and objectives when it comes to building resilience for the future. I look forward to exploring the opportunities available during the conference, as well as identifying how we can best work together across the Forum to maximize the region’s potential.

Across the globe, Royal HaskoningDHV has significant experience of both resilient city development and flood protection, having worked on water resilience projects in Hoboken, New Jersey and Amsterdam/Rotterdam.

Closer to home, Royal HaskoningDHV already has a large presence in the Solent having worked on the EIA and consenting for the channel deepening in Portsmouth Harbor required for the MoD’s new aircraft carriers.

The company also won first place on the £40m Southern England Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Consultancy Services Framework awarded by Portsmouth City Council on behalf of 20 other local authorities as part of the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership.

Caroline Price’s presentation is at 10.00 on 10th May 2017 during the Solent Forum conference, ‘Solent Matters: Shaping up for another 25 years’ which is taking place at Southampton Solent University.
