Harwich Dredging Tender Online

Harwich Haven Authority has issued tender documents for a new maintenance dredging contract, estimated to be worth around £24 million.

According to HHA, the framework contract, which will run for four years, involves maintenance dredging in Harwich, Felixstowe and the navigation channels.

Overall, the contract includes maintenance dredging in Harwich and Felixstowe, disposal to sea and to sites in the harbor, small scale plough and agitation dredging, together with associated hydro-graphic survey works.

HHA expects that during the project approximately 1 200 000 cubic meters (in-hopper) of dredged material will be removed from the area. The deadline for the completion of the maintenance dredging is 6 months.

The authority also informed that the tender includes possibility of additional dredging as required of fine sand or sand and gravel, carried out in the approach channels and disposed to sea.

The deadline for submission of applications is July 14th 2017.
