Galveston Beach Nourishment Project Complete

Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush, Galveston Park Board, City of Galveston officials and parts of the Federal Emergency Management Agency last week celebrated the completion of the largest beach nourishment project in TX history.

 

USPA and CHEC Pen Yuzhny Dredging Deal

The state enterprise Ukrainian Seaports Authority (USPA) and China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC) last week signed a contract for carrying out dredging operations at the Yuzhny seaport in Odessa.

 

LWT Dredgers on Its Way to Uganda

After having completed the manufacturing process of the two dredgers in mid-April 2017 by supplier Liquid Waste Technology (LWT), an onsite inspection was carried out at the factory in New Richmond, WI.

Jan De Nul Group’s three new 3,500 m³ Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers will be powered by the Cat 3500E IMO III & EPA Tier 4 certified engines, reports Caterpillar Marine.

3rd International Congress Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging

Russia’s leading maritime industry Media Group PortNews (www.portnews.ru) holds a traditional annual Congress “Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging” in Moscow. 

The two-day Congress includes the 7th International Forum of Dredging Companies and the 3rd Technical Conference “Modern Solutions for Hydraulic Engineering”.

Infrastructure development is among the real sources of Russia’s economy growth. Construction of port facilities and new hydraulic engineering structures on the country’s inland waterways constitute an essential part of all infrastructure projects.
