The Finnish Port of Rauma has started the renewal work on the Chemical Quay 2 at their terminal, the port said in its latest release.

This very important development project will include a significant amount of dredging work at the quay and in the channel.

“The channel leading to the Chemical Quay 2 may be closed for short periods and dredging may obstruct vessels operating in the channel,” the port said.

Dredging is set to begin this week and will be finished by the end of August 2017.

At the same time, the Port of Rauma entrance channel is being deepened from 10 meters to 12 meters.
