Pomme de Terre Lake Plans on the Table

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, will host the Pomme de Terre Lake’s final draft Shoreline Management Plan meeting on July 18, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pomme de Terre Project Office. 

The final draft Shoreline Management Plan for Pomme de Terre Lake establishes policy and furnished guidelines for the protection and preservation of the desirable environmental characteristics of the shoreline while maintaining a balance between public and private shoreline use.

“Those interested in the future of shoreline activity use around Pomme de Terre Lake are invited to attend the public meeting and provide comments on the final draft Shoreline Management Plan,” USACE said in its release.

Comments will be accepted through August 1, 2017.

The Pomme de Terre Lake Project Shoreline Management Plan (Pomme de Terre SMP) is part of the Operational Management Plan which complies with the Pomme de Terre Lake Project Master Plan, dated March 15, 2016.
