Piet Brouwer Electrical Solutions for Wasa SHB 1010 Split-Barges

Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology has just announced successful completion of a project for Wasa Dredging.

According to the company, the project involved designing, building and installing comprehensive electrical solutions on board two new split barges being built at the Pattje shipyards yard near Groningen.

Piet Brouwer also supplied the alarm system, fire detection and steering consoles for the 65-meter vessels.

Flexibility and precision were crucial to this project’s success. The systems were delivered and installed to the customer’s complete satisfaction,” the company said.

Earlier in August, Wasa Dredging reported that the new 1010m³ self-propelled barges “Boann” and “Sinann” have been delivered and moved to Rauma, Finland, where “Boann” has already started working on a project.
