J.E. McAmis Bags Lower Columbia River Dredging Deal

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, recently awarded J.E. McAmis the Columbia River Side Channels Clamshell Dredging contract for 2018.

According to the Corps, the contract worth $349,900 includes dredging of the Wahkiakum Ferry Crossing and Longview Turning Basin.

The project locations are along the Lower Columbia River, in Oregon and Washington.

Using one of its clamshell dredgers, J.E. McAmis will remove approximately 35,000 cubic yards of material from the Wahkiakum Ferry Crossing and 20,000 cubic yards from the Longview Turning Basin.

The environmental in-water work window for this maintenance dredging project is August 1 through December 15.
