Steel Cutting Ceremony of TSHD LESSE

Royal IHC has held a steel cutting ceremony for the 2,300m³ Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger LESSE.

The event took place at IHC’s partner yard, the MTG Dolphin Shipyard in Varna (Bulgaria) earlier this week.

The newbuild was ordered by Baggerbedrijf de Boer – Dutch Dredging last May.

The vessel is the third project, built in cooperation and by order of Royal IHC for Dutch Dredging, following the previous success of TSHDs ALBATROS and MAHURY.

According to the shipyard, the vessel – being built under the class of Bureau Veritas – will be 80m long with a breadth of 15m.

The next milestone for this vessel will be the keel laying ceremony in January 2018.
