Dredging Corporation of India Limited’s (DCI) Non-Executive Employees Union yesterday served the indefinite strike notice to the management to protest against the Central Government’s decision to sell the entire stake of the company (73.47%), local media reports.

According to the union notice, the strike is expected to start from December 6.

The strike notice was served in spite of the assurance of Mansukh Laxman Mandaviya, the Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Chemicals and Fertilizers, who visited the corporate office of DCI earlier this week.

The DCI employees who were agitating in a peaceful manner for the past 10 days, wore black badges to show their dissent against the government’s proposal towards strategic sale (privatization) of the company.
