GLDD Takes Delivery of ATB Hopper Dredge Ellis Island

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (GLDD) has taken delivery of the new build ATB hopper dredge Ellis Island and tug Douglas B. Mackie after successful completion of United States Coast Guard and American Bureau of Shipping regulatory sea trials.

 

NMDC, CHP Sign The Challenge Deal

National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) from Abu Dhabi has signed an agreement with Canal Harbor and Great Projects Company (CHP), a subsidiary of the Suez Canal Authority, to become shareholders in a newly incorporated Egyptian company, named The Challenge – Egyptian Emirates Marine Dredging Company.

 

Prock Marine Bags York Harbor Dredge Contract

Maintenance dredging of two anchorages and a portion of the entrance channel of the York Harbor Federal Navigation Project in York, Maine, will be completed under the terms of a $1.7 million contract, recently issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.

 

Dredging Corporation of India Employees Union Serves Strike Notice

Dredging Corporation of India Limited’s (DCI) Non-Executive Employees Union yesterday served the indefinite strike notice to the management to protest against the Central Government’s decision to sell the entire stake of the company (73.47%), local media reports.
