The Corps Industry Days in Arkansas

The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District, will be hosting a regional industry days forum December 6-7 at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub.

During Industry Days we will meet with potential contractors and introduce them to our contracting process that will allow us to conduct market research,” the Corps said in the release.

There will be USACE representative from Little Rock, Memphis, Fort Worth, Vicksburg, Kansas City districts as well as representatives from the Small Business Administration, National Park Service, General Services Administration, U.S. Forest Service, Army Reserve, Arkansas National Guard, Little Rock Air Force Base and Department of Veteran Affairs to give brief overviews of their contracting requirements as well as a panel discussion with leadership and the Corps’ industry partners.

Attendees will receive information about $1.4 billion in upcoming FY18 projects. In fiscal year 2017, the Little Rock District executed more than 1,100 contracting actions totaling $334.6 million.

The Little Rock District has a vast and diverse mission that encompasses both military and civil projects. Within its geographic boundaries, Little Rock District is responsible for operating 12 multipurpose lakes, 13 locks and dams, 308 miles of navigation on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, 138 parks and seven hydroelectric plants.
