December CPRA Board Meeting

The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) will – at its next board meeting on Wednesday, December 13 – release a draft of its 2019 fiscal year plan.

CPRA reported that the plan outlines the next year in restoration work by the state, providing updates on current projects, some of which are located in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.

The annual plan also includes details on short-term projects, anticipated revenue sources and expected spending over the next three years. Everything in the plan follows the state’s Coastal Master Plan, which was approved earlier this year.

Before the plan is adopted, CPRA will hold open houses and public hearings around the state, including the January 9th meeting in Houma, to gather public feedback.

The CPRA board meeting will take place from 9 AM till 12 PM (CST) at the State Capitol – House Committee Room 5 in Baton Rouge.
