Burry Port Plans on Display

Plans for Burry Port Harbor are to be showcased at an open day next month, from 1-7 pm, on Wednesday, February 7, at Burry Port’s Memorial Hall.

It comes after marina specialists, The Marine Group, were granted a long term lease for the running and development of the 450-berth harbor following a decision by the council’s executive board in December, said the Carmarthenshire County Council in its release.

The Marine Group has marinas in Cardiff, Aberystwyth and Port Dinorwic, and provides services including drystack berthing, water injection dredging services, etc.

People will have a chance to meet with the staff from The Marine Group and officers from Carmarthenshire County Council to discuss plans for the harbor and its operation. The RNLI will also be present to update on their plans for a new facility at the harbor,” said the council.

Staff from the Council’s Regeneration Division will also be present to update the public on the wider masterplan for the harbor.
