CSD Kalimna Busy at Bullock Island

The maintenance dredging operations at the entrance to Cunninghame Arm officially started yesterday, Gippsland Ports said in their latest announcement. 

This dredging program, conducted by the Gippsland Ports’ cutter suction dredge Kalimna, is set to last approximately four weeks.

According to the official announcement, during the Cunninghame Arm maintenance dredging program the CSD and associated pipeline and anchor mooring system will be impeding the northern side of the entrance to Cunninghame Arm and access to Bullock Island Wharf where the pipeline will be connected to the shore.

Gippsland Ports said that the dredging works in this area will be conducted only during daylight hours.
