Speakers Announced for 2nd North American Dredging Summit

William Precht, Director of Marine & Coastal Programs at Dial Cordy & Associates Inc, will join the 2nd North American Dredging Summit as a speaker, reports the Active Communications International (ACI).

According to ACI, Mr Precht presentation is tilted “Can Coral Reefs and Large-Scale Dredging Projects Coexist?”.

The list of confirmed speakers also includes: Christopher J. Cooley, Director Of Environmental Affairs Tampa Bay Port; Paul Matthews, Deputy Port Director Port Of Plaquemines, Louisiana; Kristen Fidler, Chief of Outreach, Policy & Permits, Maryland Port Authority; Michèle Leduc-Lapierre, Senior Program Specialist, Great Lakes Commission; Issac Hametz, Director of Research,  Mahan Rykiel Associates; Brian Davis, Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture, Cornell University; etc.

The 2nd North American Dredging Summit will gather leading experts and stakeholders from across the dredging sector for two days of presentations, interactive Q&A sessions and engaging panel discussions.

As a part of the event, participants will have a chance to tour the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility on May 1, 2018. The Cox Creek facility, crucial to the port of Baltimore’s shipping channel development, was constructed by the Army Corps in the 1960s and has a total placement capacity of 6 million cubic yards, half of which has already been filed.

The 2nd North American Dredging Summit is set to take place on 2nd-3rd May, 2018, in Baltimore, Maryland.
