This year’s theme will be Shoreline Best Practice Case Studies. The program will highlight what well-designed living shorelines and other practices look like and how they work for coastal protection, erosion reduction, water quality, and habitat ecosystem services.

Planned Workshop Topics:

  • How wetlands & oyster reefs work for wave attenuation;
  • SEAS project on TMDL load reduction credits for shoreline management BMPs;
  • Shoreline management program updates;
  • 2018 Virginia General Assembly update.

The workshop program will include indoor lectures & training sessions plus an outdoor field experience on the VIMS campus.
