Norse Commercial Services Ltd. has been appointed by Fareham Borough Council to undertake the repair of the Cador Drive Seawall, reports the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership (ESCP).

According to ESCP, the coastal flood and erosion defense repair works are due to begin along a section of Cador Drive Seawall in the week starting 23rd April 2018 and are expected to take approximately 2 weeks to complete.

“ The section of toe, found at the base of the wall is formed of concrete bag-work which has deteriorated and is now in a very poor condition. Repair works are required to remove the health and safety concerns and to maintain protection to the seawall, which acts as a primary defense, protecting the residential estate from flooding and erosion ,” said the ESCP.

The works are to be funded by Fareham Borough Council and supervised by the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership.
