Further restoration work will now move onto the section of embankment between Pebble Beach and the boat ramp, the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council said in its latest release.

This additional work will further reinforce the existing wall where required and is expected to start in around a month’s time subject to material and contractor availability.

The pedestrian path adjacent to the rock wall at this section will remain open during the works, however access to the river bank will be restricted, with barrier fencing in place around the work site to ensure public safety,” said the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.

Stage 2 of the rock wall restoration works are expected to take 2 weeks to complete.
