Gulf Intracoastal Waterway Dredging Contract Awarded

RLB Contracting Inc., from Port Lavaca, Texas, has won a $15.1 million contract for maintenance dredging of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Corpus Christi Ship Channel to Port Isabel and the channel to Harlingen in Kenedy, Willacy and Cameron Counties, Texas.

Bids were solicited via the internet with three received, according to the latest U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) release.

Work will be performed in Corpus Christi, Texas, with an estimated completion date of April 21, 2019.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, is the contracting activity.

All dredging work will be performed by cutter-head suction pipeline dredger.
