Holland Dredge Design (HDD), a Dutch company involved in engineering, designing, building, supplying and maintenance of all sorts of dredgers and dredging equipment, has just released a video recorded during the testing operations of a DSD-450 dredger in the Harderwijk harbor.
The dredger is equipped with a caterpillar 3512 generator, set to power the dredge pumps, winches and the jetpump.
Also, onboard is a Caterpillar C4.4 generator for powering the rest of the electric parts.
The dredger, with a dredging depth of 35 meters, is also equipped with two DP-400 dredge pumps – placed in series – aimed to improve discharge distances.
