At the moment, the West Fork of the San Jacinto River Emergency Debris Removal Project reached 45 percent completion.

The two dredges have removed a combined total of approximately 805,000 cubic yards of material to date, and nearly 300 tons of debris such as trees, etc.

Dredging is expected to be finished in mid-April, said USACE.

“Due to safety concerns, the public is reminded not to enter the dredged material placement areas as they are considered active construction sites,” according to USACE’s official statement.
